Head of Sales

Summary

  • This will be a key client-facing role, taking ownership of all revenue generation for the entire company: building, managing and developing a high-performance SaaS sales team.
  • Develop and implement a scalable sales process from prospecting/demand generation through contract execution
  • Effectively build, prioritize, and manage your team’s pipeline by generating new leads and opportunities from a variety of sources, including strategic prospecting, international events and conferences, partnerships, etc
  • Build relationships with decision makers at prospect companies to understand their goals and articulate Chatdesk's value proposition
  • Leverage CRM data to construct, forecast, and manage sales activity and drive pipeline to meet revenue targets and company goals
  • Collaborate with internal product teams and provide feedback from the field to help shape future development
  • Work closely with the Leadership Team to provide input on the growth of the business and align revenue strategy with overall company objectives

  • Contribute to company goals by selling to Customer Support and Marketing leaders within fast-growing companies and Fortune 1000 enterprises
  • Ensure the sales team’s in-depth understanding of the competitive landscape in order to educate customers on how Chatdesk's solution compares and contrasts with the competition
  • Leading successful sales cycles, from lead qualification to opportunity conversion, often presenting to C-level executives the value and power of the Chatdesk platform and services
  • Share Chatdesk's story and value through product demonstrations, in-market events, and account-specific initiatives
  • Compile analysis and industry research on customer experience innovation/trends, while engaging customers (e.g., meetings, white papers)

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in B2B/Enterprise software sales with an emphasis on SaaS sales
  • Record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and lead a high-performing sales team
  • Experience with both inside and outside sales, including lead generation and outbound prospecting
  • Passion, drive and the desire to be a part of a growing team that makes a difference for both the company and our clients
  • Exceptional in-person, verbal and written communication skills a must
  • Independent and proactive self-starter who operates with a strong sense of ownership for projects and results
  • Last and certainly not least, lover of customer experience and marketing!

Preferred but not required

  • Functional understanding of key technologies and trends in the Customer Experience and Marketing industry
